Liz Stafford Ajello
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Elizabeth “Liz” Stafford Ajello is CEO, a Practice Growth Strategist, and operational founder who helps independent clinics, ABA therapy groups, and school district partners build profitable, sustainable operations. She partners with startups, scaling practices, and owners preparing for an exit to strengthen leadership, optimize workflows, increase provider retention, and maximize valuation.
As Co-Founder of SummitED Solutions, Liz brings decades of hands-on operational leadership to independent medical, dental, therapy, ABA, veterinary, and school-district-partnered organizations. Having navigated every stage of the practice lifecycle, she gives owners and directors direct access to proven management systems, financial planning, and hiring strategy, without the cost or complexity of full-time corporate overhead.
Combining high-level strategy with deep operational diligence, Liz excels at preparing clinics, therapy providers, and education companies for sustainable expansion and successful M&A transitions. She conducts comprehensive audits to uncover hidden revenue opportunities, optimize clinical staffing models, and refine financial performance. Her core focus includes growth strategy, business planning, budgeting, cash flow analysis, operational diligence, M&A preparation, recruitment innovation, intake and marketing systems, and multi-site scaling.
Respected for her grounded, results-driven approach, Liz serves as a trusted partner to practice owners and educational leaders navigating critical growth phases. Prior to founding SummitED, she directed multi-site operational expansions and guided healthcare, wellness, ABA, and education therapy organizations through private equity (PE) partnerships, post-merger integrations, and high-value practice sales.
Guided by integrity, strategic focus, and a commitment to empowering practice leaders, Liz focuses on building self-sustaining operational systems that give owners back their personal time while creating long-term equity and enterprise value.
Liz holds a proven track record of helping founder-led practices, therapy groups, and educational organizations scale seamlessly, capture private equity interest, and achieve maximum valuation when transitioning or selling their business.
Liz has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Appalachian State University. She also contributes to industry panels and roundtable discussions focused on healthcare operations, recruitment innovation, and practice acquisition readiness.
Amber Rice, OTD, OTR/L
Co-Founder & Practice Compliance Officer
Amber is an occupational therapist and Practice Compliance Specialist who transforms complex healthcare and educational regulations into simple, stress-free clinic workflows. Drawing on over 20 years of clinical and operational leadership, she helps medical, dental, therapy, ABA, veterinary, and school district partners protect their licenses, streamline audits, and scale safely.
As Co-Founder of SummitED Solutions, Amber leads our compliance, quality assurance, and operational audit programs. She builds practical, state-specific compliance tools designed to eliminate administrative gridlock, giving practice owners, ABA directors, and educational therapy leaders complete peace of mind while protecting their overall organization value.
Bringing a unique blend of doctoral-level clinical experience and practical operations, Amber excels at turning overwhelming regulatory requirements into simple, day-to-day operational systems. She conducts deep-dive internal audits to eliminate operational bottlenecks, optimize staffing schedules, and remove unnecessary paperwork for front-office, clinical, and school-based teams. Her core focus includes compliance setup, HIPAA/FERPA protection, audit readiness, operational workflows, and multi-location alignment.
Respected for her analytical rigor and hands-on approach, Amber acts as a trusted partner to practice owners and education therapy leaders who need clear guidance and reliable execution. Prior to founding SummitED, she managed enterprise compliance programs through multiple practice sales and served as Vice President of Pediatric Development & Compliance, building national operational frameworks across diverse pediatric clinics, ABA teams, and school-based therapy service lines. Amber is also the owner of her own mobile outpatient and wellness practice.
Grounded in accountability and collaborative leadership, Amber focuses on empowering clinical and educational teams to operate with total compliance confidence while delivering high-quality care to the patients and students they impact.
Amber holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy with a concentration in Business Management from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Xavier University. She has also served as an adjunct teacher specializing in interprofessional healthcare and educational delivery models.
